– Files submitted for advertising must meet the following requirements: Pietermaritzburg Billboard
- 15 or 30 seconds – dependent on number of slots chosen
- < 20 mb size per 15 seconds
- MP4 format
- Resolution 1920 x 1080
- Family friendly
- Epilepsy friendly
- Sound may be included for advertising on our social media
- Large fonts for viewing from a distance
- Avoid full white backgrounds – excessive white/extra light colours may
repel the viewers’ eyes and put your advert at a disadvantage

- 30 seconds -video or image
- < 40 mb flie size
- MP4 format
- Resolution 1920 x 1080
- Family friendly
- Epilepsy friendly
- Sound may be included for advertising on our social media
- Large fonts for viewing from a distance
- Avoid full white backgrounds – excessive white/extra light colours may
repel the viewers’ eyes and put your advert at a disadvantage
1. Payment for contracts to be made monthly on the 1st day of each month.
2. Screening of advertisements will be cancelled on non-compliance of payment terms.
3. The applicant warrants that the submission of their own advertisements to Lumos Media do not infringe upon any trademarks or copyrights.
4. Indemnification: Except as provided herein, applicant and any third parties contracting with applicant, shall indemnify and hold Lumos Media free from any loss, claim, any suits that may arise from any advertisement placed on the billboard (including attorney’s fees) and damage to persons or property arising out of this agreement to the extent that the loss, claim, or damage is caused by Applicant’s breach of any term of this agreement or the intentional act of Applicant.
5. Payments made for any advertising packages are non-refundable. Unforeseen billboard downtime (excluding loadshedding) will be added to your contract according to the duration of the downtime. For example: if the billboard is offline/down for 1 day, 1 extra day will be added to your contract to make up for this loss.
6. No refunds for early cancellation by the applicant of any package.
7. Loadshedding will impact display times – no refunds will be made
Our cheap prices have already been “loadshedding adjusted”.
8. Scheduled repairs and maintenance to the billboard will impact display times.
9. Advertisements will be reviewed for suitability and Lumos Media reserves the right to reject within reason.
